Google has announced that they will turn off their service for phishing protection used by Firefox 2. This due to the old protocol used for communication and that Firefox 3 is out since a long time ago.
Therefore it’s important to upgrade to Firefox 3 as soon as possible because the phishing protection service will still work for Firefox 3.
The phishing protection in Firefox has been created to protect the users from sites trying to steal passwords, credit card numbers etc by setting up fake web sites looking like real banks and web shops.
