If you’ve been using the iPhone or iPad app for WordPress you know it’s been really buggy and almost impossible to use for blogging (which is the main purpose with the app 😉 . The good news is that WordPress has released a new version with more than 100 bug fixes and a slightly revamped user interface.
Version 2.7 of the app, which mainly focused on fixing bugs and irritating crashes of the previous version, also contained a nice new “pull to refresh” feature so that users can see the latest comments, posts, and pages on the blogs they manage. As usual you can moderate comments, edit/post new blog posts and even manage your pages with the app. Since it’s now a more stable version of the app, you should be able to run your web site/blog from anywhere while you’re out travelling and only have your iPad handy 😉 . I will for sure use this app much more frequent then I have had in the past (mainly due to the fix of the annoying crashes).
If you have both WordPress.com blogs and self hosted WordPress blogs you can of course use the app to manage all of them 😉
One annoying thing is that you may have to type in your passwords again after upgrading, but for me that only happened on the iPad and not on the iPhone so if you’re lucky you don’t have to type it in again.
The app is free and can be found in the app store by searching for WordPress.
Sorry for your stats, since I love all kinds of statistics myself I know that I would really hate it to lose some valuable data like that.
It’s not worth getting an iThing just because of the WordPress app, because frankly I’m very disappointed with them as working tools. The downsides are just way too many like for example there’s no file system so you can’t transfer a PDF file to it and then email the file to someone:( and also I tried to blog for XM while I was in Malta over the New Year, but that didn’t go as well as I hoped because I had problems with everything from bluetooth keyboards to WIFI. Xavier Media will just have to buy me a netbook instead so I can work remotely.
Hehe, nice that you liked the aquarium. It was a test thing I did to see if I could learn flash and since you like it I guess it’s a good first try. Perhaps I should learn flash for real sometime.

Hey Andreas, I don’t own an Ipad nor a IPhone, but I was thinking that since WordPress fixed 100 bugs I’m wondering why I can’t get my WordPress Stats back?!! I had it for years then somehow for reasons I can’t explain (really can’t explain) one day my Stats were gone. After several webmasters, and communicating with WP I guess my Stats are gone, and I loved my Stats. Great post if I owned one of the above, but makes one think that WP of course is on the ball when it comes to these new highly in vogue electronics! 👿 P.S. I just found your Aquarium game and am very interested in it, sounds cool and not too difficult to play. jj
