Retweet.com – Now also as a WordPress plugin

I don’t know if you have heard of a service called ReTweet.com, but it’s a cool service that allows you to see how many times an article, blog post or even just a tweet has been re-tweeted at Twitter. Now the guys behind ReTweet has released a WordPress plugin too 😀

The ReTweet plugin is really easy to install and you just need to activate it to have a re-tweet button added on all your blog posts. I have to say that one thing I really love with WordPress are all the plugins available and also how easy they are to install. You just upload and activate 😀

The retweet plugin got a few options, but just so many options that it’s enough customizable and not too hard to setup.

At the options page of the plugin you get some statistics about your blog/re-tweets and even before we installed the plugin at XavierMedia.com someone had re-tweeted one of our posts 3 times!!! If that was before the plugin made it easy for people to tweet our posts imagine what will happen with this plugin 😉 In worst case we may have to get another server to handle all the traffic 😉

Just look how nice it looks in the posts:

Retweet Plugin Example

You can decide to have the retweet button at the top of the page or in the bottom, to the right or to the left.

I like Retweet.com because it’s like a Digg for Twitter, but it’s so much better then Digg since they don’t have the censorship and pissed-off John Chow wannabes Digg got. Lets just hope that Twitter is not trying to shut down Retweet.com like they did with their Twitter account @retweet because we really need a service like Retweet to see what other people like and also to keep track on how many times our own articles have been re-tweeted 😉
