Twitter has acquired Summize (a search engine for Twitter) and the old domain name is now redirected to search.twitter.com. Using the search function you can find out what’s going on in the Twitter community and I have to say I just love “Trending topics” at the first page 😀 . I just love where you can see what’s hot at a community like Twitter. This function look similar to the function at Google Trends where you can see the hot stuff going on.
The title of the blog post announcing the acquisition sounds like it’s more about an online date resulting in a happy marriege 
then an acquisition. Read it at blog.twitter.com.
The search function got an API similar to the rest of the Twitter functions at Twitter.com so you can search the database using your own applications. More functions for the API may come soon, at least I hope so…..
😯 I joined twitter, but I rarely go there because I can never follow a conversation. That is why I like plurk 😮 The replies to a plurk can be viewed by a drop down screen from the plurk.
But that still doesn’t let you find topics you want to chime in on. 🙄 This new function in Twitter sounds like it will help me to participate in twitter. Thank you. ❗ ❗
