Have you noticed that the latest mobile phones move and more look like Apples iPhone? Before the iPhone existed not many phones had touch screen and a screen as big as the phone itself. As soon as Apple launched iPhone all that changed pretty much over night 😀 and all “smart” phones got bigger screens and all the other iphone features.

The phones today are more like small computers with 24/7 Internet access ;-). Not only can they handle 3G connections, but many of them can also use WiFi networks or hotspots where that’s available so in theory you can make calls using VoIP services. Wire-less networks can reduce your phone bill if you don’t have flat rate Internet access included in your deal and it can reduce the time needed to sync your files from Internet servers no matter if you have flat rate or not since the Wifi connection will in most cases be faster than 3G.
Social media is something that has moved into the latest phones too. A smart phone is nothing without the usual social media features like Facebook, Twitter and email (even if that isn’t really a social media).
