Web Hosting Geeks is a web hosting and rating web site where you can find reviews and ratings about the most popular web hosting companies online today like Just Host, In Motion, Fat Cow, Yahoo and GoDaddy. They also have web hosting awards where you can find the best company in that class 😀 The awards are for example budget hosting for people looking for just cheap web hosting, blog hosting for anyone setting up a blog, multiple domain hosting for people with more than one web site, reseller web hosting and PHP web hosting. The bad thing with the awards is that they are all for 2008. We’re in the second half of 2009 now so they should have had the time to upgrade their awards to 2009. It would have been nice to see a comparison between 2009 and 2008 to see which hosts improved and which hosts didn’t.

Like many other similar web hosting review sites Web Hosting Geeks have divided the reviews into different categories like VPS hosting, dedicated server, etc. What’s a little bit different with Web Hosting Geek is that they also have a category called green hosting where they list and rate companies offering hosting powered by green electricity 😀 . This is perfect for companies who would like to give something to the environment, but also for companies trying to get certified in some way. In the top of this category SuperGreen Hosting is listed with a rating of 95% which means that you don’t have to give in to quality regarding your hosting services just because you want to do something good for the planet.

Most other review sites only got a hand-full of comments/user reviews, but this site got tons of comments. For example JustHost Hosting got over 500 user comments at the time of writing this. That kind of comments/user reviews will give you the confidence you need to select a new web hosting company for your projects.
