Did you know that a person loses interest in a webpage within ten seconds of viewing it? It may not seem like much but for bloggers out there who depend on their virtual journals to generate opinions, sales, discussions, and whatnot, this is going to be somewhat problematic to them. People have been blogging forever. It’s human nature to want to express our thoughts to the world. However, the internet has now come up with a little setback as to how much of their opinions are actually heard and it all comes down to money, as usual.
This is why for serious bloggers, the idea of a paid web host may sound more appealing as to gain more revenue for their products/services. They have complete control of whatever they put on their site and server. On top of that, a paid host offers its user support which is a load off their mind and are able to concentrate on their businesses and blogs wherein a free host user would have to rely on their own internet knowledge to get past technical difficulties.
Another concern of bloggers who use their sites for serious business is that the servers are constantly backed up which means, should something go wrong their content is never destroyed and remains part of the database.
Free hosts are out there but there are setbacks to it. For example a free hosted site may have tonnes of advertisements littered all over the page because of sponsorship. Not to mention that to some people, the thought of owning a free domain may seem a little impersonal with the fact that the URL may never be fully up to the users choice and that there would be a certain template to follow. But in the end it is up to the blogger themselves to judge how important the idea of a paid site is to voice out their thoughts or to conduct their businesses.
