PLR articles means Private Label Rights articles and are articles you can get pretty cheap from all kind of places on the Internet. The downside with these articles is that the author usually sells them to many content hungry bloggers and web site owners. This means that the articles you just got have already been published on someone else’s web site/blog 🙁 .
So to really benefit from these articles its highly recommended to rewrite them to match your own tone and style. To rewrite the article is also recommended from the search engine perspective because otherwise you may get penalized for duplicate content.
Why pay for articles you have to rewrite anyway, why not write the articles yourself from the beginning? It’s so much easier to rewrite something someone else wrote, and the research have already been done. If you don’t know so much about the area you’re writing about, then you already have more than 50% of the job done 😉 . Great post. Someone asked me the very same thing the other day. As you mention, it’s a good question, as it’s impossible to prepare fully for every situation. You just hope that the thin sliver of knowledge that you have gained is enough to give you the edge needed in a self-defence situation.
